— PROGRAMS • ECHOES IN THE VALLEY

Legacy Lane was Dochaa’s tribute to Nepal’s master craftspeople — an afternoon spent not just observing traditions, but living inside them.
Visitors molded clay with Thimi’s potters at Jwojolapa Ceramics, traced the rhythms of Dhaka looms, and painted in the centuries-old Mithila tradition. Akha Chhen opened its doors as a living archive of Madhyapur’s heritage, inviting guests to walk through rooms of objects, memory, and meaning.
And through Nistha Thapa Shrestha’s visual narrative Subdued Song of Chaa, the quiet soul of the potter’s wheel found a new, luminous voice — capturing the nuanced emotional layers of a craft that has shaped this valley for generations.
